On August 7, 2007, Pacifica Ventures held a joint press conference with Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell and Sharon Pinkenson of the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, announcing Pacifica’s plans to build a new, state-of-the-art, purpose-built studio facility in the Philadelphia area. The studio will be of similar size to the Albuquerque Studios. A location in Delaware County, just a few miles south of the Philadelphia Airport, was announced in late 2007. Ground-breaking for the still unnamed studio is anticipated for spring 2008.
